For over 20 years, I’ve been involved in Hamburg’s queer community,
and I am proud to continue the fight for progress in the Bürgerschaft.
Even today, queer people face discrimination, ostracization, and violence – in
everyday life, in the workplace, or from family members.
To fight for LGBTQIA+ rights means to fight for a society in which all people
are free to live without fear.
Commitment to this work helps to increase visibility, strengthen rights, and
send a clear signal that plurality and difference are not problems to be
solved, but values in and of themselves.
